When you are dating an Asian woman from a different country and even an entirely different part of the world, chances are you will run into some communications problems.
Many times Asian women abroad don’t speak perfect English as the English language sounds are very different from most Asian languages, especially those that are tonal.
Most guys, including me, jump at this opportunity to use the few phrases they have learned of the girl’s language, trying to impress her, I have done this many times myself. Many times though the good spirited attempts are misunderstood, as the correct pronunciation is very important for Asian languages. Also, if you are dating an Asian girls in a western city, you can be sure she’s heard “hello” or “how are you?” even “my name is..” in her local language TONS of times from horny guys trying hard to impress her.
So chances are you will be linked to all those other guys if you try the same. Not fair huh? Even if you do actually speak the language a bit.
Well, I am going to share with you a little trick I use, that will leave her impressed and think about you.
Go out learn some cool phrases for everyday use apart from the above 3. Or learn to answer a question.
When the situation comes up, and the girl you are dating asks if you speak the native language, just tell her that you don’t. As the date or meet progresses then unexpectedly when someone is asking you something in their language (a toll attendant, waitress, cabdriver), just answer them in their language. This will leave a startled face on your date! When she again asks you if she speaks her language, answer ‘no’ in her language. I am telling you this will crack her up! But refuse to speak more (most likely you don’t)! This will be funny and make her wonder why you are so confident you don’t even try to impress her with your language skills (that you don’t have). See? It’s a good little routine.
Oh, I almost forgot, if you actually speak a foreign language fluently, you should definitely speak it, as that’s a cool thing to be able too!
